Feed with flowers and not Formic Pro!

My back lawn is looking better for bees by the day. A word of warning about feeding bees while treating with Formic Pro. I asked my Formic Pro supplier why it is recommended to not feed internally while applying this mite treatment, the answer surprised me.

What seed mix did you use? Did you buy one specifically or mix your own?

All that mares tail get in there an weed it out quickly. They produce like 500k seeds per plant. In the coming years you will have nothing but mares tail if you don’t jump on it. Sadly it doesn’t respond to round up. Have to hand weed it. Looked like yours is about to or already setting seed. Good luck with the job. A grass herbicide would be helpful as well. I know I’m not sharing anything you do not already know.
