I have huge respect for both arts. I have been training in both arts since 2020.

Just a quick comment, you are comparing WING CHUN (very good demonstration here) and Theatrical Jeet Kune Do (JKD that Bruce Lee showed in films), not the FUNCTIONAL JKD videos. I'd appreciate if you use TOMMY CARRUTHERS' videos for the functional JKD and make the comparison. Just my 2 cents.

Why the wingchun's wooden dummy are having short size woden arms, is it design to practice the closed distance fight only, or is there any other reason ?

It seems to be that this video was just for practice. There was no legitimate martial arts information presented here. Tu Tengyoa already has a wing chun youtube channel where he promotes his particular wing chun style, and does not make any claims to or affiliations with Ip Man, Ip Chun, or Ip style wing chun. The unkown 1980's Bruce Lee style actor is just that, an unknown 1980's actor who is performing a Bruce Lee acting style demonstration. It does require much work to develop a Bruce Lee style physique, however, that does not translate to a mastery of jeet kun do martial arts. This is a practice video for entertainment purposes only.

I guess most people don’t understand that Wing Chung is also a part of Jeet Kun Do as well. Bruce studied all martial arts styles and incorporated what Bruce considered the best parts of other styles into his own Jeet Kun Do.
I studied Jeet Kun Do myself with a Chinese instructor that followed Bruce’s teaching and we didn’t just study one particular art. We not only learned different styles, but how to defend against those other styles as well.

this whole this vs that is getting old. Martial arts depends on the individual not the style or art . In real situations you don't have time to use any fancy techniques . If you can fight using the most basic and practical moves you will stand a chance to survive. 90% of martial arts moves are used to train your body and mind .

jeet kune do is not a style it is body expression of bruce just bruce to survive in a fight everybody has their own jeet kune do different from the others do no compare it to other martial arts no crystalization no systems no rules even practice wing chun is different americans make rules in this culture that belongs to other people
