I'm an internet meemaw at this point, but I remember reading magazines back during the filming of Gossip Girl. The articles of the time painted Leighton as the mean girl on and off set and all but glamorized Blake. This feels kind of vindicating and poetic for Leighton in a way.

The problem isn’t being a mean girl. It’s trying to market yourself as relatable and trying to cash in on it when you’re obviously not. The plantation wedding and this movie are examples. I have very mixed feelings about Blake. I'm not in any way trying to demolish the good things she has done, speaking out against child abuse is great, but then she went and wore Balenciaga during her outing with Taylor Swift, after they were 'cancelled' for promoting child exploitation. I also recently stumbled upon her 73 questions with Vogue where she was asked "Movie you laughed the hardest through?" to which she answered "The Shawshank Redemption." I had to pause and replay it, because I couldn't believe it.
