Burt Young fought under his birth name Gerald Tommasso DeLouise. The heavyweight boxing divisions have changed minimum weights multiple times through the years. At the time he fought the heavyweight division would have considered anyone over 170 pounds give or take, a heavyweight. The same with Rocky Marciano who fought at 180 or so and was in the heavyweight division.

No one lied. Rocky wasn't a documentary. It was a movie.

Burt Young. Hell of a nice bloke. Bloody good actor.

He didn't "brag" about being a better boxer than "Rocky" because Rocky is a fictional character and Stallone is an ACTOR, not a boxer.

People from generations in the past didn't brag because it's obnoxious. People need to take a leaf from their book.

Burt Young is the epitome of humility. Great actor that showed the damaged nature and loyalty of Paulie perfectly. Thank you for the memories Burt❤

Burt Young was a professional boxer. Sylvester Stallone was an actor, playing a boxer. There is a huge difference. Burt Young does seem very humble, especially with such an impressive boxing record.

Guy played his role very well I had no idea he could box let alone that he was a good boxer...Never judge a book by its cover.

What I loved about Pauley was that he was the perfect foil for the Rocky character. This movie presented the absolute poverty these guys came from. But through watching their interactions, you saw that lack of money didn't mean lack of love, loyalty, and genuine friendship. 😂❤
