Between 200 and 2,000 species become extinct annually. It’s crazy to think just how many animals will no longer be around soon, but some are a bit hardier than others. From a frog that clucks like a chicken to a parasitic fish that survived four extinctions, here are 15 prehistoric creatures that might be alive today.

that "dino" photo is from Russia of a suspected mamoth crossing stream that was debunked. The dino portion is completely an added graphic, shameful...

You can always count on humans to drive a creature into Extinction that 200 million years of extinctions couldn't achieve.

#star topic - It looks photoshopped. 1. What appears to be the eyes are glowing white during the day the eyes wouldnt show up that way during sunlight from that distance. At night with a flashlight would be different. 2. The background is patchy looking and blurry might be manipulated. In fact the whole photo is fuzzy appearing. 3. The animal looks shiny like a polished look and the trunk and head appears to be somewhat disproportionate. 4. The water doesnt look normal has a dull look. It also doesnt seem to line up in the background like it flattens out behind the creature and no white caps in the back either. This picture looks kinda like a painting or manipulated on a computer.

Turtles werent around 250 million years ago, only the reptile group they evolved from. The first fossils belonging to basal turtles are 220 million years old.

How did Turtles gradually grow shells? Did it tell it’s body to start growing shells? What dictated it to grow shells?

pretty much every aquatic species survived the dinosaur extinction its after that they started to go extinct and it took a few millions of years in many cases . and no the turles have not been arround for over 250 million years they've been arround only 220 million years since after the Permian Mass Extinction . Yes 30 million year does make a difference in the evolution scale .

every living animal you've ever seen with you own eyes, is a prehistoric animal. There are literally billions of prehistoric species (humans are a prehistoric species). I challenge anyone to say a non-prehistoric species they've actually seen. I would love an example of an animals that evolved in the past 7000 to 10 000 years
