Blitzkrieg is a strategy mainly used by the Germans in World War 2. But some still use it today. It is also called the 'Concentration of Force', as it includes concentrating the force in one, and making it fast.

Sidenote: I heard my father say breakthrough tactics were used by the Mongolians, before they were used by the Nazis, and that after a breakthrough, instead of encircling, destroying, and advancing: sometimes they'd just leave the frontline troops behind, destroy the enemy's supply sources to starve out the frontline troops, capture their country, then come back & mess up the enemy frontline troops later

Blitzkrieg was a doctrine based on lightning warfare. How the Germans invaded France, Belgium and the Netherlands so quickly was based off of weak points and strong. He avoided engaging the Maginot Line with his main forces, and quickly invaded through Belgium to get around France's Maginot Line. Like one of Hitler's commanders said, "You hit someone with your fist, and not with your fingers spread."

If a troop surrenders, its best to make there flag white, a white waving flag is a sign of you accept defeat. (surrendering) and you do not want to fight. Anyways, you have teached me so much about the German Blitzkrieg tactic.

This actually helped me in hearts of iron 4, it’s very effective against the Soviet Union, especially at the start of the frontline where most soviet divisions are. Encircling them is a big advantage. When they are encircled, you know you won the war. They all are dead.
