So, I had a question.
If the Left Hand Fleming Rule demands us to point the middle finger in the direction of CURRENT, shouldn't it be in the opposite direction of electron's motion in this case?

This provides us with motion of the rays in the same direction as the current.

I have a doubt in the calculations you are neglecting the initial KE of electrons when they were launched /released from the cathode. Is this done to make the problem calculations easier or the effect is too small?
