So funny story here: there was a guy who got terrified when the police came to his house and he was reported for shouting “Give me my child!” but turns out it was him shouting a character named childe in genshin impact.He was rolling in childe banner. It all started with his neighbors mishearing things, then they call the police.
This misunderstanding has been resolved peacefully.

I am pretty sure that the leaf Childe is holding is the leaf of the Gingko Biloba, a tree that is synonymous with resilience and hope...
This tree is 40 million years older than the dinosaurs, survived the ice age in the south of China (so this tree being in Liyue is very significant + it has known healing benefits, popular in China and Japan, so Baizhu would definitely use it) and it also survived the atomic bomb in Hiroshima (only the 6 Gingko Biloba on the site survived, and it was blooming just the next year) and this tree can live up to 3000 years
For these many reasons this tree became a symbol of life, resilience and hope, it is a magical, beautiful, sturdy tree

Also maybe a coincidence, but the Gingko Biloba surviving the ice age in the south of China mirrors the hard time Childe is having far away from home in Liyue (being away from his family and home is his ice age), but still surviving, even thriving

I actually played Genshin Impact because of Childe. I like his character design so much it made me play the game. The power of this man holds. Now that I've seen this trailer, I'm definitely saving up for his rerun.
