Solving Optimization Problems in Systems and Chip Design: Google Brain Research

Azalia Mirhoseini, Staff Research Scientist at Google Brain, shares how her team is tackling optimization problems in systems and chip design. She'll share about her work on deep reinforcement learning models that learn to do computational resource allocation, a combinatorial optimization problem that repeatedly appears in systems. In this talk Azalia is also covering on generalizable graph clustering and partitioning with unsupervised learning. Finally, she discusses her recent work on optimizing chip placement with reinforcement learning.
