$3, 727 was a lot of money in 1928! Today, that would be valued at $56, 114. Considering a home now costs at a minimum of $300, 000, it is a bargain.

Houses used to have attention to detail. Now most houses from the past 20 years are basically cardboard, giant boxes with the bare minimum, plastic crap,

These homes are better than the crap they build today.

I live in a SEARS house. It’s 85 years old and sturdy as the day it was built. Sitting on a mountain top in western Virginia.

This is the house my grandparents lived in. I mean the house. I have tears of joy remembering all the family gatherings. My grandpa even built a doll house replica of the house, that my aunt has. Can't wait to share this video with my brother.

People saying that Sears houses would be very cheap today (when counting in the inflation) don't take into consideration that they were much smaller and usually have only one bath, plus you were supposed to already have land. Btw. they look great and I wouldn't mind the size.

I'm in the process of buying a Sears Home, obviously one that was built in the 1900s. The walls are still solid and the wood it was built out of is so soild its hard to drill in to it. The original bay window is still installed. It resembles a doll house and the previous owner painted it pink and blue to match the style.

My Mamaw always had a Sears catalog, usually on the end table by the couch. I'm 60 now and remember that we always had to go to Sears whenever Mamaw, my Mom and myself as a young teenager would go out shopping

Never knew about this! Wow learned something new today. The homes have a real unique feel to them! Lol why can’t they do this now!!!! Omg how innovative!

I love this video so much. And this is the classic American home.

The Sears Dreambook was a staple of everyone’s childhood.

I would much prefer living in a charming Sears home than any of the new super-sized, ugly, paper-thin-walls homes being built now.

Beautiful house. If Sears wanted to get back in business, this would be a way to go, but I can't imagine how much it would cost to build today!!

My Neighborhood does have these homes, in them; as well! I have my grandfather's original Sears Catalog! It is tiny and excellent shape!
