The new Raspberry Pi Zero is small, elegant and cheap. At just $5 this board brings you desktop Linux with 512MB of RAM and a VideoCore IV GPU.

I can't really think that this was made to be turned into a desktop computer but I would love to see the things that are made with this it looks like it has endless possibilities

What i would do with the zero is build a handheld portable retro gaming station, the small size of the pi lends itself well to putting into a small case.

Gary, you really should consider opening your own Youtube channel for "the projects on your head" :) your explanations are easy to understand and videos are fun to watch. I think making phone reviews is not your cup of tea :)

Check HubPiWi an Add on board for Pi Zero at kickstarter. It integrates USB Hub and a WIfi and does not require any Cable or Connector. Also has an onboard PCB Antenna. A de facto must have add on for Pi Zero

Lately Gary is bringing the most interesting stuff to the channel : ) I think you should make an episode of the FDP about the Raspberry Pi

Happy we have found someone grabbing the idea of the Pi Zero. While the Pi 2 is speedy enough to actually work as a desktop, albeit a really slow one, the Zero's use should be strictly thought of as a control module. Trying to convert it to a full computer makes just nu sense.

thanks Garry nice review .what do you think of the chip 9 $ board be well

The problem is: The board itself costs here in Europe at least € 14, - (without any Accessoires). With accessoires you'll probably be at a price similar to the big Raspberry Pi.

I've done a headless setup, just by adding a wpa_supplicant.conf file in the /boot directory. However, at the time of this video, there was actually no need to create an empty file called "ssh" in the same directory. Now, for some security reasons, we have to create it. Nice video. This five dollar (seven hundred INR) can do wonders really! But for now, I'm just planning to create a new micro-kernel called Rusteze for it, using the Rust programming langauge.

It's amazing how far technology has come.

What if you buy six Zero's and split the processing between them all? So a cluster. Would it still be meh compared to the Raspberry Pi 2? You're spending about the same price (minus accessories), and you'd think it'd end up being better since it can split the processing between them all.
