I must’ve watched hours and hours of motorcycle reviews on YouTube but this is the most objective, well presented review I’ve ever watched. King regards from Barcelona!

I agree, all colour schemes look great. Glad they fixed the rear rack on the L. Tubeless rims and higher screen would have been nice as L options too but like many manufacturers, Honda has built in a pain point to encourage the upsell.

The whole point of the DCT is NOT convenience. Part of the point is to allow those riders that have lost the ability to physically change gears to still be able to ride. Lets not forget this please. Honda should be commended time and time again for bringing dct gearboxes to motorcycles. Bless them.

I'll do the Red model with manual Trans. Thanks, and stay safe.

Colours shouldn't make much of a difference to buying a bike...but it does. These look really good. Nailing the graphics like I haven't seen in over 20 years! I would personally buy a worse bike that looked better than the other way around. I wonder how many other people would?

I had the NC750X with DCT and absolutely love the auto box. That was until it started sticking in gear at 18 months old with 8k on the clock. I fully appreciate mechanical things break, regardless of who makes them. What really scared me was the challenge the Honda main dealer had trying to fix the problem. They did fix it but I lost all confidence in the bike. It’s a real shame but given DCT is simply a stepping stone between internal combustion and electric bikes I’ll hang fire. Thanks for the video motobob.

I've really liked the AT! I've talked to quite a few owners and the electronics package, while welcomed by most, was described as "clunky" at times. I'm curious if Honda will be beefing up the hardware running their dash anytime soon. Everyone seems to really like the electronics software, it just needs to be smoother in its operation. Electronics aside, awesome bike with one of the best exhaust notes in the category.

I had a 2020 ATAS ES. I regretted selling it until now! I’ll be getting the 2022 ATAS in pearl glare tricolor.

I have a black 2019 which I love but if I changed it I would definately go for the Adventure Sport model (in black). What I wish Honda would improved is the maintenance intervals. Even the latest Ducatis need less valves checks/adjustments than Hondas. People who don't ride much won't mind, but when you ride 25000km a year, that means one valve check every year (800$CAD).

I have NEVER had issues with my 2016 AT with the DCT at low speeds. It was amazing on tight slow hairpin turns on steep inclines in Moab as well. My only criticism it that in the lowest performance mode it feels like it lugs the engine, but that is easy to solve by putting it into the next highest performance mode. The new models look great and I am seriously considering an upgrade, the 2016 DCT has been an amazing bike for me.

The original AT 2016 - 2017 1000 is still amazing and getting very affordable, just keep up with the cleaning and service attention

Great review as always Bob. Thank you. For me I’d stick with the standard Honda colour scheme. 👍😎🇦🇺

It's a shame the L hasn't got cross-spoke wheels. I would consider one. I used to have an RD04. You don't mention the weight difference between the two models. It's significant.

Why they don't just update the Crosstourer VRF 1200X?! I want a big adventure bike 1200-1300cc with a shaft drive.... also a new Pan European would be nice. Not everyone can afford a GoldWing... Wake up Honda...

Great video! Gave me a lot to think about for my next ADV ride...

A couple of thoughts on the production and units of measure:

Power in HP
Torque in NM
Seat height in mm,
Fuel in liters,
Range in miles
And in some cases no units in the graphics...

Just a bit confusing to both imperial and metric viewers, it may be helpful to do both units and always label the measures in the graphics for the viewers not schooled in both... :D

Thanks again for the great review and look forward to the next one!
