Scientists Just Discovered EARTH 2.0

Small planets sometimes generate gargantuan buzz. For weeks, eager media outlets have been reporting rumors that a potentially habitable planet is circling the star closest to our sun, a red dwarf called Proxima Centauri. Now, finally, astronomers are ready to unveil this alien world.
This candidate planet is the third detected in the system and the lightest yet discovered orbiting this star. At just a quarter of Earth’s mass, the planet is also one of the lightest exoplanets ever found.
So, have we found another place to go once we lose this very earth we have? Or has it found us? Join us today as we are going to talk about a new earth like planet found by scientists close of Proxima centauri. And let’s get started!
Observations made with a telescope in Chile have indeed revealed a planet about as massive as Earth that orbits Proxima Centauri, which is a cosmic walk to the corner store at just 4.24 light-years away. And if conditions are right, the planet is in an orbit that’s warm enough for liquid water to survive on its surface.
Illuminated by a pale reddish light, the world orbits the smallest star in a triple system known as Alpha Centauri, which shines in the southern constellation Centaurus. The Alpha Centauri system, long a wonderland for science fiction authors, is often considered a destination for humanity’s first leap into interstellar space—as well as a potential haven for future civilizations fleeing the inevitable destruction of Earth as we know it.

Red dwarf stars live a very very very long time. Life on planet Earth has come and gone and re-emerged many times. Imagine 15 or 20 billion years of life orbiting a red dwarf rather than one billion years of fantastic evolving life on Earth!😎

Systems with 3 suns are inherently unstable because of the "three-body problem". I don't think that the Centauri system will be stable for too long.

Why don’t we build like 7 James webs telescopes and send them all different directions especially considering only one is gonna be bringing back a lot of data if not already doing so 😂 we’d have half the universe covered and we’d 100% see aliens from light years away 😂

I dreamed of this new place last night. There were loads of gypsies in the place. It's wet, foggy, green and their cars not the same on earth. However, the place was warmth.

maybe there are other habitable planets but not yet civilized, but I'm sure there are living species there.

The aliens will pretend that they haven't found us until we start getting out there first. We are not even looking yet.

If Proxima Centuri B is tidally locked. It might possess no magnetic field. If that is the case, any water on it's surface and in it's atmosphere will have been stripped apart by the ionizing effects of Proxima's solar flares. In effect, Proxima B is probably a radiation scoured desert. Furthermore, according to some of the latest research into M class stars, they don't deliver enough energy to support photosynthesis.

there are many other problems apart from traveling at sub light speed that must be solved first before we can think of sending a spacecraft to alpha centauri .

We will all die before we even get to travel to other planets 😂😂😂

So at 30, 000 MPH it would take what 150 years to reach this planet , or more than 150 years 🤔

What if Proxima B was infact Earth? And we live on Earth 2.0 after they populated this planet due to its better living conditions.

Nothing better than our own earth where almighty owner of heavens and earths sent us.

You have to be extremely careful about picking a potential inhabitable planet for life. If it has water and forests it still doesn't mean it's safe to live on. If you survey it and notice that there isn't anything alive on it but has all the essentials for life, there's something else deadly wrong about the planet. Something you're not thinking about either. What size is it? How big do and can the waves get on it? What's the storms like on that planet? Earthquake and Volcanic activity. It could have Typhoons that are 10 times the size they get here on Earth or larger. Last for weeks or a month. The gravity might be unsuitable. Even Earth isn't exactly the perfect planet with 100 percent the right conditions for life always. However you could find a planet out there that happens to be much safer than Earth too. It could have almost no natural disasters. Maybe just some floodings sometimes and some Thunderstorms. A planet that doesn't rain isn't worth a damn.

We can't even get to mars yet. How are we planning on getting to a planet at another sun?...

you contradicted your title. we found earth 2.0 . ? we don't know yet.? what the hell dude.

Looks like we have a new destination when the SpaceX rockets are up to the task

Topics like these here deserve more attention to the details. Ya know, like how to pronounce things! Apparently, they don't fact check or do any sort of review in their editing. I'm sorry for being harsh, but what I said is true.

We are all made in atoms though. We can travel at the speed of light but we are shredded
