Unmentioned details: pale oak, much like dark oak, only grow when four saplings are planted 2×2. Upon growing, the tree will be surrounded with pale moss, carpet, and have hanging moss, so if you get the saplings from a wandering trader you have access to all the blocks except the heart, unless it has a rare chance of coming with a player grown tree (which I hope is the case, similar to a bee nest minus the need for a flower).

Pale moss carpet placed next to a wall will spread up the wall a random amount between .5 and 1.5 blocks and you can break the top bit if you want it short.

Pale hanging moss doesn't grow on its own, need it bone meal for a one for one conversion rate. They also have a sound that only plays when they're hanging from the pale oak logs/leaves.

The creaking heart can be harvested with silk touch and needs to be between two pale oak logs in the same orientation to activate, as in the side of the log that isn't bark needs to be touching the top and bottom of the heart. Yay, I can have a pet creaking!

A creaking obtained from a spawn egg or commands has 1 HP, can be killed (it drops nothing), and persists during the day but acts the same as one from a creaking heart.

Wearing a carved pumpkin allows creaking to move while your looking at them. This makes the bound pumpkin prank even more evil.
