☀️🌍 The Ecliptic is defined as the plane in which the Earth orbits the Sun and so from a geocentric view it is the apparent path of the Sun through the sky during the year. This video uses Stellarium software animation to visualize the movement of the sun along the ecliptic throughout the year and the movement of the ecliptic across the sky each day.

Beautiful. I bought a little telescope three years ago and so I am a beginner but this is the first time I have understood the ecliptic. Thank you so much.

...Excellent work...(would it be possible to add THE 18.6-YEAR LUNAR CYCLE IS OBSERVED AS A MODULATION IN THE OUTER EXTREMES OF THE MOON'S MONTHLY RANGE OF RISING AND SETTING?)

Is it a coincidence that the sun also seem to align with galactic band at solcitices?
