I'm more of a OpenBSD & FVWM guy, but man that good old CDE looks nice. And FreeBSD is of course a pretty wonderful OS just like any other *BSD. Also, nice to see I'm not the only one running *BSD on old Apple hardware. Old Mac Pro's and 27"-iMac's are legends with OpenBSD. And also the Mac Mini and some of the portables.

Super duper awesome setup! Congratulations! And CDE <3

A few questions:
- If you do VLC, for example, do you get H264 hardware acceleration on your GeForce?
- That NVIDIA logo you get when X starts up, is it coming from some proprietary NVIDIA drivers?

I have a classic Mac Pro with Mojave and a Vega 64, and I'm thinking of migrating to some kind of BSD. Do you think things would be ok, compatibility-wise? I'm considering a setup where I run whatever proprietary software I need in Windows VMs. I do like CDE but I also would be happy with Xfce as well, for example.

Grazie
