Errors in Testing and Measurement

Error is all the rage - so hot right now. We'll talk about the difference between sampling error (totally ok) and non-sampling error that introduces bias (not good at all). We'll also discuss errors in our decisions regarding the null hypothesis, namely Type I and Type II errors. This concept probably takes the cake for the most obtuse naming convention in all of statistics, so hopefully my mnemonics help you remember these. Lastly, we also discuss POWER.

Hi! I am a student at ASU taking HCD 300 as my last class. I am struggling like I never have before. There are several professors who provide the videos for the class and I have such a hard time focusing and learning from them. However, I always learn something from yours, especially when you go on little side stories like you did in this one about D.A.R.E back in high school. So thank you for helping my ADHD brain and providing some hope that I may be able to survive this class.
