20 years on Steam!! (Online Gaming Retrospective Teaser)

Hi! If anyone is watching this I stayed up the whole night over this thing, convinced by every single person on the internet my Years of Service Steam Badge would roll over based on Pacific Standard Time, seeing as Valve is based in Bellevue, Washington. People talk out their ass on the internet folks you heard it here first.

The reason this is relevant is I was going to do a YouTube premiere of this and was right on schedule, oh well.

This is a teaser for a "retrospective" as much as I hate that word, or "love letter" if you will to online gaming. Some of my favorites memories are gaming online with friends, or people that might as well be over the years.

I decided since the WoW 20th Anniversary is next month, combined with the fact I'm old & might have some perspective on gaming online since I've been doing it since literally probably the year 2000 or earlier, as well as the Steam badge thing, I'd just make a "gaming online" video rather than a "look back at Steam" in particular.

I thought about doing gaming as a whole but that might get too long-winded, like this description.

Anyway, this was super fun to make, and I might have some other shorter videos in the works before I release this mammoth.

I will post all the credits in here tomorrow- believe it or not it's hard to find footage of yourself playing Sven Co-Op from 2002 so I found some stuff from extinct YT accounts with 1 video from 2006 and like 5 followers that I doubt anyone cares about but credit where credit is due. Tomorrow. I am about ready to crash.

Also I may have gone overboard with the VHS effects, I'm sorry.
