I think Xpeng's quality, manufacturing and software are really strong. The G9 is a phenomenal car and they have two models coming out this year. Xpeng seems to have government support, in China that is very important. I think it's way too soon to write them off. Remember Tesla lost money for so many years.

Note this well. BCA the biggest used vehicle organisation in the UK have issued a memo to employees telling them not to accept a Tesla as a trade in under any circumstances. They had over 2000 Tesla's on their books when Tesla cut prices and are spitting the dummy over it, according to people familiar with the matter in the UK. This will have a big impact in the short term .

Maybe it will be other pure EV auto companies that will go bankrupt first. At least Toyota, Ford and GM have their ICE vehicles to sell for the time being but the pure EV plays, if they are losing money on each car, its only a matter of time before they go bankrupt.

I own a Xpeng p5 and it's a phenomenal family sedan. I think they are too focused on Tesla Vs knowing who their customers are and how to better geared their products and services towards them. Meanwhile, there have been a boat loads of new Chinese EVs popping up. Brands such as Aion, Zeekr, HiFi, saic, etc were able to differentiate from the testla crowd

I work in a car related industry where Chinese made products dominate the world's market...there are many manufacturers which, mathematically should be bankrupt 10-20 years ago, ant they are still going strong to this day. No idea how it works, maybe CCP is able to twist mathematics or something like that...

I wish I remembered which video this was in…Sandy Munro was over in China to give a presentation and the head of the Chinese party made this statement about slashing car companies. Sandy Munro said specifically the numbers in the video. I don’t remember the numbers. Maybe someone else knows?
