As a musician, I'm all about creating musical experiences that have people feeling happy and free, and that's why the "Sing With Me" series exists. Since 2018, I have asked thousands of random people to sing with me on camera. A lot of people have said no, some have said no initially but changed their minds to yes, and some have said yes right away. I ask these people to sing with one purpose: to create a way for them to experience a sense of happiness and freedom they did not feel before. And much of the time, this actually works (and that makes ME happy).

So I ran into Guitaro5000 in Union Square after walking in the Halloween Parade downtown! My roommate and I were looking for something fun to do, and there seemed to be some crazy things going on around us. We just stuck around for the fun of it! When I saw Reggie and his sign that said “Sing with me for free!”, I knew I had to take the opportunity. I actually felt like something called me to do it. LITTLE DID I KNOW this guy had a whole team of cameras documenting the whole thing. I am truly the most grateful to have stumbled upon you, Reggie!

Coming to the city hasn’t been the easiest experience for me, but there have been a couple moments of magic like this one that remind me why I came to NYC in the first place. I have been itching to get out and sing for people and this experience with Guitaro5000 gave me SO MUCH JOY! I was on cloud nine for the rest of the night. I wish I wasn’t so nervous in the video so I could have expressed my gratitude better in person... I can’t wait to see more content from you, Guitaro5000 and hopefully collab again in the future! ♥️
