Will Quantum Physics Explain Consciousness?

The question of whether the world of quantum physics explains how we think and how our brains, our consciousness, our neural works work is a hot topic with no clear answer. Some scientists think it's possible because we haven't yet found the best way to understand the mind. They suggest that maybe the tiny particles and forces in quantum physics could be involved.

However, other scientists have looked closely at the brain and found that even if there are quantum effects, they don't last long enough to really affect how we think or feel. So far, with what we know, there isn't strong proof to say that quantum physics explains consciousness. The debate often ends up with people saying just because we haven't found a better explanation yet doesn't mean quantum physics is the answer.

I doubt consciousness has anything to do with quantum mechanics. Consciousness seems to form at a much higher level - at the organizational level of neurons. To suggest that if neuron internals operated without quantum mechanics, we wouldn't have consciousness, sounds utterly ridiculous.

People who say computer AI is conscious or even close to conscious don't know what actual consciousness is. You can't just create and understand human consciousness. A sentient robot can't just learn about everything that makes it sentient even if it's really intelligent.

Some people say that only quantum computers can be consciuos (with AI), but classical computers can simulate quantum ones (they are just not very good at it), which means that classical computers could simulate consciusness

The hard part of understanding the brain is that we need to outsmart the brain itself, maybe AI but seems hard for humans to do this

Rather than finding the answer through experiments in external world, try to study yourself... After all you are conscious, right ??? Why use complex mathematics and information to study yourself... Upanishads can help, if you really want to understand yourself...
