I am PUMPED for Dragonlance. It was the setting that got me hooked on D&D back in the ‘80s. :) Very very excited!! Excited for Spelljammer too!

Dragonlance is an old school setting. There are over 100 novels based on the setting. Over all the D&D editions I think there are 6 books about the Dragonlance setting. So there is a lot of lore and content about it. I have been a reader of Dragonlance since I was 11 and am pumped to finally be able to play it.

Maybe home brew in classic sci-fi races like Klingons, Cystel/rock people, Wookies, Cat people, Apex preador, Dinosaur, The Doctor Who evil empire etc.

I've been using Spelljammer since it came out in 2E... some for the ship battles, some for the adventures, but mostly have used it as transportation system both on the landmasses and to connect different play worlds. Even created the GreySpace Alliance (a military defense force) for sphere protection on Oerth (GreySpace). I am so psyched it has been reborn!

I have seen a lot of "Direct's" like this over the years including E3 presentations and I am normally only excited about one or two things. With this D&D Direct, I am sitting here saying "Take my money now!" to everything. I am so excited with the direct-ion (pun intended) this is taking. My wife already pre-ordered the Spelljammers set as an early birthday present!

SpellJammer video with Perkins seemed like WotC jumped the shark on this one. I remember SpellJammer back when they first released it and it did not do well - AD&D in space? Giant Space Hamsters, Space Hippos, Space Clowns - yikes.

The Dragonlance stuff is great - setting, lore, and just well fleshed out stuff.
I remember reading those books decades ago and so excited for this.

You really should read Dragons of Autumn Twilight, it’s the first DragonLance book. It’s still the best D&D setting fiction ever.
