Alex Phillips Talks Growing Sales Of White Poppies

Talk’s Alex Phillips says the "erosion" of traditional poppies for Remembrance Day gives enemies of the West a "foothold".

White poppies are an alternative symbol of remembrance primarily associated with pacifism and the advocacy for peace.

They were introduced in the UK by the Peace Pledge Union (PPU) in 1933 as a response to the red poppy, which had become widely adopted as a symbol of military remembrance after World War I.

Army veteran Mike Neville: "The Left can leave nothing alone! Everything has got to be influenced at their wicked hands or wicked fingers."
