6:15 that bass drop, tho! I own an Onyx Studio Gen 1 and it also surprises with the deep bass. Go+Play almost matches my incredible JBL Encores!

no doubt, x20 win in this comparison. especially the bass is exceptional. hk go plus is great has deep bass too and good mids. but you know x20 is better.. up next wking x20 vs wking t9 pro. 😁

At half the weight and size, the HK Go Play puts up a respectable performance! Both sound amazing through my $400 JBL Boombox 3

The HK is an indoor speaker, the X20 is made & performs best for outdoor use. To my ears, it really does sound that much better outdoors.

I missed that $128 deal on the Go+Play 3. At that price it’s UNEQUIVOCALLY a steal. Actually getting it for anywhere under $200 is a steal. A week after the sale ended I went on eBay and the G+P3 had flooded the site. I guess resellers had a field day partaking in the $128 lol. Long story short I was able to cop on eBay for $160, and boy am I NOT disappointed. This speaker is dope. The sound is balanced, rich, and the bass satisfies. I even like the Go+Play 3 aesthetically, despite some insecure folks saying it looks like a purse. It may not get as loud and as deep as let’s say the Tribit StormBox Blast, but the overall sound is better. Big drawback of this G+P3 is its lack of versatility. Basically you can’t take it out the house. But that’s what my StormBox Blast is for so no harm no foul ☺️

Great comparison. HK go play 3 or w king x20 or Anker boom 2 plus or Tribit strombox Blast.
Currently using JBL 110 but it's overpowered bass despite lowering the bass from eq still its giving headache.

Had tribit strombox Blast before but it's wasn't giving headache.

Mainly for watching movies Tv. Well balanced speaker with great clarity in mids high and vocal with right amount of Bass.
Will be waiting for your expertise advice.

They both cut at 35hz, wking has a HUGE peak from 40-80hz which adds a lot to its low end presence, and wking has TONS more power to work with, but isnt nearly as linear. Ive got both, prefer the harman if ive got power, but the wking is the outdoor movie night champ.

I haven't directly compared the 2 yet, but I do know the resolution and balance in the Hk is just more refined for all genres. the W-King sounds nice but I have to switch up the eq a lot so far. Bass Boost does have a higher limit in bass if you use a eq along with it bit the treble extention goes down quite a bit but with nass Boost off its vice versa but it can get sharp. Still figuring out the W-King as my new one will be here on the 28th but the Go plus play 3 still is the best soundings overall speaker I own especially in tws, I'll be able to test TWS for the X20 as well👍

i think the x20 had a little more bass but the play plus still has some nice bass they both sound very good

Doesn’t the H&K need a hard surface to enhance the bass… since the bass woofer is firing downward? The H&K unlike normal JBL speakers, doesn’t lose bass at max level!
