Roxie Hart is a small-time chorus dancer who will kill for fame. Hail to the QUEEN. Latifah absolutely dominates the screen in this number--she works every line (and every curve) like an expert. Also, here's a fun fact: the prisoner at the beginning of the scene smoking a cigarette (who tells Roxie to keep Mama happy) is none other than Chita Rivera, who played Velma Kelly in the original Broadway production of "Chicago!" I love when films honor the source material with cameos like that. :D
