Biden Orders Sanctions On Russia As Putin's Troops Enter Separatist Regions

"This is the beginning of a Russian invasion of Ukraine." President Joe Biden announced a series of sanctions to "impose costs" on Russia after Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered troops to invade separatist regions of Ukraine. The sanctions include blocking two of Russia's financial institutions, cutting the Russian government off from western financing and even penalizing Russia's "elites" and their family members who profit from its military adventurism.
