You've successfully identified the problem with the palette I work with....Far too many colours used which all seem to clash! . Thankfully you've also identified the solution....Stick to 3 primaries+white+black. This will dramatically change the way I paint in the future. Can't believe such a limited palette can actually produce so many colours/tones etc . And these colours with be harmonious rather than to work against it. Thanks for this. Yep, just the lesson I was looking for! I was always “guessing” as you said, and usually had 8 or more tubes of paint laid out. And the mud. Oh the mud!!! I would have been a great brick layer. Anyway, thanks for sharing this and I’m going to make up one of those reference note books. Cheers!
