I was wrong about the DJI Action 2 Smallrig Case
The DJI Action 2 really needs a case or cage of some sort. Otherwise, it's prone to getting scratched up quite quickly. Smallrig have just released a case for the DJI Action 2 and I've got my hands on one to test it out. Setup is quick and easy, but my original video which I've now removed, highlighted a huge issue that I thought was a problem. It was actually my fault, so apologies to all.

Just watched this DJI Action 2 case instructions 2 years on -- thanks Vic.
The DJI official case has stopped working for me. I don't know if it's corrosion or lack of springiness in the pins (they look okay) but going back now to this Smallrig case which I regretted when DJI sent me the free case for the cheese melting camera... but now I'm really glad I bought it for Future Me.

Heh ... I was actually looking for your video, cause you can also remove the case from the front display module by counter pressing on the two ears, that clip to the camera module, when the camera module isn't attached. And I didn't read the instructions at all. You do have a reminder on your front display module in the form of the scratch ... the reminds you, that you are indeed a muppet.

If you use top unit in salt water take it out of the case and wipe it dry ( salt water gets in the case and seeps down ) before connecting bottem unit or it WILL corrode the contact pins. Better still, don't get the case. Buy some screen protectors instead 👍
