All said and done, believe me, nobody wants to play against Denver in 1st round of playoffs. I saw a fraction of old Nuggets against Wolves and dude, they can became scary if things came to their place. Don't underestimate them.

I think they'll definitely get better. They will not be a play-in team, but I'm not sure they can get good enough to be a real contender. I wish because I am a nugget fan, but i'm also a realistic person

People who don't follow the team closely really don't understand this Nuggets team. There is definitely a hangover from going to Abu Dhabi in the presason. They look lethargic and the bench is horrible. But, Jokic is actually leading the league in scoring at the moment. He's having a better year even than his past 3 MVP seasons. The biggest drawback to this season has been assumed to be the loss of KCP. However, Christian Braun has been playing at least as well as KCP did and he's a better switchable defender against down-hill big PGs like ANT whom KCP couldn't guard at all. Their starters will be fine when Jamal Murray rounds into shape. He's had a slow start but he always does. He did last year too. The Nuggets are a LOT better than they appear right now, but still not as good as OKC. MN matches up much worse against them, after losing KAT. Everybody is going to write off the Nuggets but at the end of the year they will be a top 4 team. Whether they make the Conference Finals depends on whether they can avoid playing the Thunder until then. Because they can definitely beat every other team in the Western Conference. There's going to be no drop off from their starters. The bench is the problem of course, but we'll see if they can fix that.

Murray is a league-average point guard getting paid the max. There are >15 PGs i'd rather have on the team than Murray.
