This was the first video that popped up when I searched “best stick on back splash”. Just crushed my hopes. Thanks for saving me time, money and disappointment. Now I’ve got to learn how to install real tile 😭

Thanks for this video. I've been looking all over for people sharing their sticker tiles experience after 12+ months

I think a lot of it has to do with brand of tile too. We bought "smart tiles"
brand, and it's been over a year and still looks great.

When I rented I tacked up poster board from dollar tree and then placed the peel and stick from Walmart on top of it. It looked really good and no one could tell. It took 5 minutes to pull it down and the wall had a few tack thumb tack holes. Around the edges and around outlets I used Grey tape on poster board. It stayed up 3 years until I moved. I put toothpaste in the holes. I just bought a house. I might do the same thing because I like to change it.

Thanks for posting this. My wife & I were considering this for our kitchen update but it looks like it doesn't hold up very well. Thanks for saving us the time, trouble & disappointment.

In other videos I’ve seen them use plastic or card board underneath to prevent the cleanup when moving. However, I’ve only seen it done for the flooring. I feel it’s still doable for the kitchen if in a small area. More work to put up put saving money and time for cleanup.

I've heard that if you have a gas stove, you probably shouldn't use the peel and stick tile. But if you have an electric stove, it shouldn't be a problem. I have an electric stove and have ordered my peel and stick tiles which are scheduled to arrive Saturday. I'm very excited to see it completed! I've heard people who have had the peel and stick tiles up for years an haven't experienced any problems. Again it may just depend on if you have a gas or electric stove. Also some may have to do with the brand of tiles you buy. The ones I ordered had very good reviews. I'm optimistic that they will look great and last for years. I am sorry yours didn't hold up around the stove area as they did look wonderful when you first put them up. Just saying I've heard a lot of success stories with the peel an stick tiles so I hope this doesn't scare people away from trying the peel and stick tiles. After mine have been up for a few months, I will come back and let you know my honest experience with them. I'm new to your channel and have liked and subscribed! Looking forward to watching more of your videos! Have a great day!

Mine curled like that, too, but I didn’t have it near heat. It’s fine for a small area you don’t mind replacing it, but it’s not cheap enough to put in a large area when real subway tile is so cheap to DIY.

Call me weird, but I kinda liked the effect left on the wall when he peeled off the tiles. It looked like a tattered old painted brick wall.

Thank you! I bought some a couple of years ago and ultimately decided not to install. Now I’m sure it will not ever make it to the wall.

So nice to hear someone confirm what I say to my clients. It's crap. Better to make a fake tile wallpaper and a glass cover.

This saved me a LOT of time and money. I will take the extra steps and money to do actual tile backsplash bubt need to find a light one since I am putting it on an RV wall

Thanks, this is super helpful. I was actually wondering if this type of backsplash was really rental friendly on painted walls as I was considering it in the kitchen and bathroom but clearly it is not so thanks for clarifying this for us all!
