My guest for this extremely enjoyable episode is my long-time friend and New Testament colleague, Dr. Tom Schreiner.

Tom is the James Buchanan Harrison Professor of NT at Southern Seminary and the author of scores of great books in NT studies (see below). He is also a well-loved teacher and pastor.

In this episode Tom and I discuss his first car, his recent revised thoughts on the meaning of 1 Peter 3, and prophecy and tongues from his new book Spiritual Gifts.

Tom Schreiner is without question my favorite scholar/theologian. I appreciate his humility and charity towards those he disagrees with. If there were more of this kind of argumentation in the evangelical culture, much more world be accomplished for the Kingdom.

Thank you for sharing this the view points were very interesting, and the humble attitude of the guest very appreciated. I might have missed it, but I did not hear a reference to a scripture that might have concluded that prophecy had ceased, and was wondering if there was one? I know of a few scriptures which, to my understanding, state the Spirit of God is still producing prophets and prophecy in and through the members and ministry of His church body; however I am not familiar with any to the contrary.
