The PSIV was the company's first full sized preamplifier and its best selling one. Paul gives us the history.

Still have my PSIV kicking around somewhere in my house - Paul failed to mention the giant outboard power supply - a low impedance design, certainly trail blazing at the time (the huge transformer thing came directly from this man) - that preamp had more than enough gain to run any low output moving coil without a sut - and all that is not to mention it's very reasonable cost - truly, a landmark product imo.

I have a PSIV and a PS Audio 100C Amplifier found the 100C NOS and a really nice preamp used. Both work great and sound great as well at least to me lol! Keep the vintage shows coming with what is out now or coming please. Thanks Paul!!!

My PSIV rocks all day every day in 2024. AIF > Arcam rDAC > PSIV > Adcom GFA555-II > Acoustic 2+2 electrostatics, eight feet tall. Play it loud
