The series of webinars is run by radical feminists whose voices have been cancelled or silenced in universities, schools and the media. Frustrated that we cannot share what we know in these places, we are offering this online series of webinars here.

Excellent talk. I loved the 'we can't tell the students the truth about history - it would upset them' bit.

Riveting lecture - we are so privileged to have you women to bring us our suppressed history so that we don’t only get the male version of information. I minored in history for my undergrad - with a specialisation in art history, no less! - taught by some very feminist professors, and I’ve only heard a portion of this. How infuriating to learn later how much fascinating history was kept from me and my female classmates because it was too threatening to male narratives.

I’ll be getting and reading every single book that has been covered by RFP. I can’t wait for Sheila’s new book.

This was a most interesting talk. My education courses completely omitted to mention this!

Very engaging discussion. I found the dispelling of the myths surrounding Athenian society quite interesting.

This is one step further from the suggestive type of thing I read more recently about the lives of women in ancient Greece. On my list!!! I love you women!

Since the beginning of a certain trend, I thought we should get back to the therm of phall0cracy instead of patriarchy. For it's more descriptive of de time we are in.

Thank you, this was excellent. I was going to say fascinating but I'm trying not to use that word since I looked up its etymology (Ancient Rome, same energy!) I'm really looking forward to Sheila's new book. Castrating Anthony Gormley's Herm sounds like a fun day out 😃

This is so interesting to me because I remember being specifically taught in primary school that Sparta was the oppressive environment for women and that Athens was the better place!

I bought this book not long after it came out and absolutely loved it! Going to at last get down to watching the discussion, today!

Leonard Shlain wrote a few books after he studied the left brain/right brain scientific literature, and his “Alphabet vs. The Goddess” book is one I’d recommend. He associated literacy with the phenomenon of patriarchy. He makes an excellent case for it! Even foot binding in ancient China was accomplished with the cloth strips that were used to make paper. The “Amazons” have been dug out of the ground now, so there’s actual history behind that mythology, and I urge women to look into the latest archaeological findings. Fascinating discussion. Thank you!

I actually knew this since I was about 8 when I started renting piles and piles of Greek and Roman culture books at the library. Yep. N I find it embarrassing when uninformed people reference ancient Greek culture as anything but crap. I try to glean any information from the male scholars of that time but that's definitely it. It's fair to say I want none of that symbolic crap in my sphere. Or anywhere. I know it still affects their culture bc I've walked into an area w a lot of Greek men suddenly leering n acting spooky like they hadn't even the veneer of manners at all. I feel so bad for the women.

The show Spartacus does show a lot of the truths in that era. I didn't like it n stopped watching it. It would play while I was n the room n I wouldn't have picked the show to watch bc it's a lot of porn used to get creeps hooked on it. Same time there's no way to show what they did without it being pornographic. But it's very brutal n shows the abuse of kids n barbarians, etc. N the blatant pedo boy stuff.

Right. And that's what you've become. Doesn't solve the problem of human evil now does it?
