Ed more than likely did a 1 year, one-pay lease. The amount of upfront rebate money on the RS e-tron GT for a lease is $32, 500. The one-pay lease component buys down the money factor. The residual value after 1 year (assuming 7, 500 miles) and with the addition of Audi Care is 70%. When you discount the car heavily, and apply all rebates/incentives, you get a one-pay lease amount of around $3, 000-$5, 000 for the entire year (including tax/license fees). When he quotes a $250/month lease he is simply dividing the one-pay lease amount by 12 months to give an example of what his cost would be per month. There’s a little more to it, but everyone should now get the picture.

I can't count the number of people on the Audi Facebook groups that have bought or leased E-Tron GT's that couldn't get rid of them soon enough. Without exception, they all went back to gas powered vehicles.

Have a Audi Q4 on loan for a year. Really like it as a daily driver, but it’s definitely not something that’s fun to drive. I just use it as a mobile battery on wheels that I listen to music in while driving with the cruise control on the outside lane.
