How can I convert to Judaism? what's the process? how long does it take?

As a Jew we need to be more welcoming of converts. Why should we encourage our neighbors to keep indulging in idolatry? Hashem does not want that. Also, our small numbers do not help us in this world.

According to the rabbi you can only be a Jew if your mother is Jewish. According to this guy it’ll take a year with great sacrifice. According to the Torah you only have to believe in one god accept Mose and all the prophets follow the Torah and you can be Jewish. I wonder who’s right him the rabbi or the Torah.
