The “punching butterflies for lives” trick in Mario 64 only works in certain courses where butterflies run from Mario, not just circle around him. But be careful, some of them might have bombs!

by the way, only the butterflies that fly away from you contain the 1ups, so you just gotta chase after and punch em. theyre in certain locations but i forget where

I'm into your channel as a gamer, but more and more, I'm into your channel as an educator. You took this creative leap--do this really tongue in cheek thing, see where it goes, and I think you realize you're reinventing the game a bit here. *You are an educational speedrunner*. You are getting this hard, fast data about game development, and, like, that is worth being excited about on its own and. Oh my God, the Star Birs.

How many people know the hard cap? How many people decided to play the game that way? You did, by thinking outside of the box, that is so honestly exciting to me as a game dev nerd--to know there's a hard cap written in there, and what it is, because someone decided to try to play a game differently--
