Mandy showed many young girls that they could face whatever challenge as long as they put their minds to it, but she did not always have it easy. She was born on May 15, 1996, in the bustling city of Seattle, Washington, to her father and her mother, June Hansen. But she was not introduced to sea life until her mother divorced her father and married fisherman CEO Sig Hansen. He co-owned the fishing fleet Northwestern along with his brothers Norm and Edgar.

Sig adopted Mandy, and she took his last name. Growing up in the Hansen household, Mandy discovered her obsession with water. She loved spending her summers on the boat with her father, trying to understand fishing and its challenges.

Moved to Kodiak in 64, fished everything as a teenager, and eventualy bering sea on m/v patricia lee, crabber processor and no joke, then went us coast guard and stationed 2 times kodiak, memorial in midle of town with all the fisherman that died, plenty of friends to.

Nice story Bro but here's my take. Mandy started off being featured on the show after Edgar got into trouble and she was very shy back then saying very little & looking nervous. Then she transitioned into a talkative person that would do things behind her father's back with Jake, her dad's nemesis. From there she got married, had a child and then suddenly decided that she wanted to take over the boat or else she would go work for Jake (Episode has since been deleted- The Ultimatum?) All of this in 2 years time. Then she goes back to being Mandy & Mom again after this Episode & she got a physical makeover by the show. After this it was off to Norway to Captain a Norway Vessel well because, , she can [= So goes the fairy tale.

Sig Hansen did not start the show deadliest catch! He may have began starring in it, but he did not create the show.
It makes sense that Mandy and Clark's wedding was a blend of Norwegian and American cultures... They are in fact, pickled Herring, and salt cod eating Norwegian / Americans!
I'm sorry to hear about her misfortune, But don't give up! As You already know, ...
If you want to be a success at anything, Including being a mother... You can never give up!,

It’s not a good idea to be involved with a coworker. No matter how professional both are, when there’s a domestic issue, it always negatively affects work and productivity. Plus, you can’t get your alone time to mentally sort issues out, because you’re constantly seeing the other person.

Great show, great descriptions of real hard jobs Mike Rowe, only JOKING, love Mikes shows....Deadliest catch is a great show, just miss a few of rhe cast that have moved on or had life changes...This young lady still needs more c experience on the ship!!
