What is impressive is the continuous improvement Tesla has shown across its range over the last few years. It is heading towards an unbeatable proposition, provided you can put up with the UI/UX (I can’t). You really wonder why you would now buy some of the much more expensive so called premium brands.

The car is great, I drove just fossile cars until 2017 when I got an X. Then got into the 2019 3P, sold it in 2023 and got into the 2023 YP (Berlin).
However I missed the Model 3 Performance, so when the 3PH came, with a 500kg hitch, better dampers and good sound insultation, I had to go back to the 3P.

So now rocking a red 3P 2024 🙂Really love the car! Its really fun to drive, stereo even better than before.

Nice car, but just not for me. I think Tesla hide behind this idea of "minimalism" to save on production costs. Simple things like no indicator stalk or a basic HUD are missed opportunities. Granted, their software is top class, but I drive a BYD Seal Performance. After test driving both, the BYD was for me. Felt more luxurious and love the design. Again, not for everyone, and it's always a relative risk going with a relatively new brand in Ireland, but no regretting my decision as of yet. Great review by the way.

Professional vid as ever Derek. Tesla still not for me personally until they have a safe drivers cockpit. The transition era has now passed the technically aware early adopter phase, but is it now in the early majority adopter phase, who expect a conventional drivers cockpit, hence more astute consumers buying legacy brands with familiar higher quality interiors rather than M3/MY IKEA blank interior style.

Continuous cost cutting for manufacturing process is not continuous improvement, not for drivers anyway.

I'm a big fan of Tesla and they are some of the safest cars on the road (Obviously not if you drive like an idiot) But I honestly hate the zero stalks concept and the swipe to drive etc it's just a pointless gimmick, Also I wish they would bring back the Model X to Ireland I have a 2020 Model X but I'm still annoyed my Plaid Model X order was cancelled 😢

3.1s 0-60??? Who needs that sort of accelartion anymore in Ireland with our motorways? Most drivers don't understand how to handle that anyway. The days of needing good acceleration to get out and passed 3 unassertive drivers following 3 HGVs on the N8 or N6 single carriageway roads are long gone. Now just stick the car in cruise control and relax, the car takes the fatigue out of motorway trips. As others have said nice car but not for me personally as long as the car lacks a drivers cockpit with safe controls. Touchscreen mania may be marketed as innovation, but in truth is just cheap cost cutting and a worse user interface compared to decades of evolution of tactile discovery controls.

Amazing Tesla have only produced one new design in 7 years, the Model Y- not counting the cyber truck clown car.
Endless faffing around the model 3.
Way behind the curve comoared yto the likes of Kia, Hyundai never mind the Chinese.
