This construction results in an "almost" regular heptagon, though, because the angle AOB is slightly less than the exact value 2pi/7 radians.
Indeed, this construction is such that sin(AOB) = sqrt(3)/4. Hence, taking the arcsin: AOB = 2pi/7.0150805188... which approximates 2pi/7 by 99.7846%, or in degrees, a "default" of 0.1107°. But, after all, the title did not say that the result had to be a regular heptagon! 😉
