Bought a 24 Silverado 2500 LT 4wd in October for 68k out the door. First diesel I’ve owned diesel since 2003.

Smooth power delivery, tows beautifully and Toyota Avalon ride quality ride.

When you rust proof it while living in TN, And have a lifetime power train warranty, (keeping it stock of course), I really hope they’re durable and can go the distance in stock form.

My 2019 LT 5.3 (21 MPG) Avg. 12.8 lt/100km 5 years later, over the 135, 000+km.. Much of that is cruise control at 120km/hr..

When i first got mine 2 months ago, new. the range always said about 900 something kms. 5000 km in my range on my last full tank said 390 never goes above 550. Hurtin drinks fuel like an 80's gasser

I have a 24 3500 srw. Best I have hit is 23.4 mpg so far. Pulling 9-13 mpg driving no load average 16-19 mpg.

You gotta remember that the MPG is calculated with US gallon . That's what shows on the dash

Will they ever make a smaller diesel engine and remove the gas one or add an extra engine for people who don't need a 6.6 diesel engine? Bring that lzo to the heavy-duty truck. Or make a 4.2 inline 6 diesel maybe a 5.0 inline 6 duramax making 380 to 400ish hp and 700 tq. Max towing 14k or 15k. Whatever the gas engine does. @truckking

19 miles per gallon, unloaded, for a diesel truck doesn't sound all that impressive to me. Especially at $113 CAD. I can't imagine what it will get when you hook a trailer up to the back. Yikes.

You can easily get much better on highway … talking about 10-11 range flat lands highway driving maybe even better …
