Hey Corny! STANDBOX's dev here. Sorry you didn't have a good time on the game, but I'm glad to see you managed to get a refund: you're entitled to a refund whenever you've played less than 2 hours under 2 weeks after your purchase on any steam title without needing to provide a reason fyi.

The game is not about gore and gibs, it's about behaviors. If you just outright kill the character, there's not much fun to be have I'll grant you that. The fun is in the blood patterns, the type of wounds he can have (he has internal organs that can be damaged, the game simulates the amount of blood he has, he can pass out, lose his balance, get brain damaged, have a heart attack, get knocked out and wake up, tries to get back up, etc) that makes it entertaining; not just the "visual" of the wound itself. If you were looking for gross wounds and gibs I totally understand you felt underwhelmed!

If you ever give the game another shot, make sure you try a few fun things like shooting the neck arteries, trying to get a shoot through the heart, or brain damaging him.

And regarding the level thumbnails, yeah that's a fuck up on my end, new thumbnails are coming up next patch, and in a few versions I'll be bringing back another map that looks like the one with the beams/poles in the pit. It was an oversight on my end to not include it.

Pro tip: Activate procedural gore fragments in the settings for enhanced gore :)

For people playground, freeze the game by pressing the space bar, but before you pause the game, you want to pull a arm and make sure you have a weapon near the hand, then press "f" so that the person can grab it, then if you want you can grab the other hand and do the same thing for it to hold the the end, you can also use "WASD" to point it anywhere

on people playground settings you can make the gore bettter its called procedural fragment

btw on ppl playground you can customize the gore a little, and you if you press space to stop time. and bring a gun to a persons hand, if you press "f" on the persons hand, they can hold the gun

you can also break peoples bones in the game, or drop a entire brick cube on them, you can torture them in alot of ways and make the game a bloody mess

Hey corny, theres this one ppg mod called active humans and it gives the humans AI so they can shoot the gorses, and in order to give them a gun you need the gun to be right next to the humans hand, then press F on the hand.

As a ppg "veteran"
I can give u some tips.
You give people guns by 1. Raising their hand
2. Pausing time with space
3. Getting the gun near the hand
4. Pressing f on the hand.
Oh also if u dont want the guns/syringes to rotate use A and D.
you can actually start cars by pressing F.
There is lore and many secrets to this game, it isnt just a torturing game
