You forget one of the most important inventions, without which the globalized world wouldn't be possible: Jet engines.

The rivers aren't dirty, but they are murky (sediments). There's a lot of shipping traffic too, which further stirs up the water.
As for the North Sea - the tides are what makes it murky. The ocean retracts from the coastline twice a day, and we're not just talking about a lowering of the water levels, but a retraction of 25 miles in "depth". You can walk to the closest islands, when the tide is low, across the ocean's floor. This movement of the water stirs up sediments and sand. The Baltic sea, which doesn't have strong tides like that, is crystal clear.

Well, I'm German and I live in Germany. But I think it's a bit exaggerated to say that Germany is the most beautiful country in Europe. Every country has its own unique and beautiful corners. And you can show a video like this about every country if you only show the positive things and the shots that make everything look beautiful. Millions of Germans go abroad every year to vacation. If they live in the most beautiful country, then they might as well vacation here. You can also make a video like this about the USA. You leave out all the ugly and bad things and the USA is the most beautiful country.

The polite form is to adress a person with Herr or Frau and the family name. Usually we do not adress somebody with the first name unless we are offered to do so 😅😊

The German soul and therefore culture has 3000 years of experience in art, philosophy, psychology and technology. She is like the grandfather, to whom the world today owes around 80 percent of everything it likes to use.The Germanic peoples experienced many wars in which immeasurable suffering was brought to light. They sharpened the senses and created depth and spirituality. From suffering and pain to new greatness! For the Americans, Pearl Harbor and the landing in Normandy were the greatest horrors. That's as little as a German would crying because his coffee cup broke. It's a shame that Americans have to rebuild their country many times and millions of Americans have to die in wars so that they no longer see money as their god and have to learn about love. But that's what it says in old works and psychology written. Whether Goethe or other great names. Everyone knew that you only grow up through suffering and injustice.

In many places today, the Rhine has quality class II (“moderately polluted”). Drinking water is taken from the banks of the Rhine by some waterworks. Drinking water in Germany is subject to the Drinking Water Ordinance. This cannot be equated with the water quality classes.

The water quality of the Rhine and its tributaries has improved significantly thanks to exemplary cooperation between the states in the Rhine catchment area. The results of the “Rhine 2020” program adopted in 2001 clearly show that many of the objectives have been achieved or initiated.

this is how water looks like. the look does not tell anything about the quality in terms of polution. You have different colours of rivers and lakes depending on the circumstances. in the alpine regions the rivers and streams are almost blue and cristal clear because the water consist much lime. Downstreams less lime, the water is still clear but without this hint of blue, so it looks nearly black, depanding on the light. And than you have brown rivers floating through agricultural land. The rain washes the soil into them so they turn brown. As i said the colour says nothing about the quality. Like your vids.

isnt it in all the western world polite to say? Herr/Mr/Senor/Monsieur "Name" (its an exception for Herr Doktor and Herr Richter, where only "Your Honor" comes close)

East German guy here and say what you will about the GDR, the trains were definitely more reliable back then than they are today! 😅
Also there wasn't really a lack of "basic goods". It was the more luxurious merchandise that was in short supply sometimes. Things that couldn't be produced locally or imported from other eastern block countries.
In general when discussing this topic one should never forget that this short-lived country was home to millions of people most of them simply living their lives and feeling neither suppressed nor taking part in the suppression.

Oh Sir, I don't know how to explain you some German things about the unification of both Germany. I know many will hate me for my comment, but being silent can't solve problems. Many, if not the most West German regret the unification between both German countries. The eastern part of Germany was politically a socialistic country. After the fall of their regime and the wall, they swept more and more to the opposite. To the right winged parties. Yes, it's a little bit understandable. To be deprived by a socialistic country, observed and jailed, no wonder that the people seeking for the opposite.
But righwinged parties were never a solution.
You know our history, I hope. 😢
And the Party they are mostly voting for is disgusting. The "AfD" is proofed to be "non democratic party".
But now it gets complicated. If Germany is calling itself a democracy, than it's not allowed to ban any party. I'm right?
Meanwhile our parliament has after some trouble the AfD caused decided to force this ban. But lawyers say, this could take decades, because it's not easy to ban a party in a democracy.
