Respectfully, why do some of you social media automotive journalists, seem to almost persistently get it wrong? Your ‘hard copy’ predecessors (such as the late, great David E. Davis, of Automobile Magazine), would nary have committed such a glaring faux pas. That vehicle is ‘not’ a rebadged BMW. It’s a newly engineered Toyota, using BMW spare parts, as per their cost saving agreement. Toyota completely re-engineered BMWs engine and chassis components, in order to produce something that was beyond BMW’s capabilities… in terms of performance, build quality, reliability and longevity. BMW could not have engineered this vehicle on their own, and they readily admit to it.

Not sure I agree with a lot of this. The idea that the engine (and some other stuff) being built by the car doesn't define the car. This isn't a BMW. Although there is a partnership between the companies and shared technology, they have just chosen to label their parts and trust the public won't over react like their are. If you look at any other platform this is the case. The classic and extreme example is a Lamborghini is just another VW. Because it is with the same logic. A lotus is just a Corolla. So much more went into this car than what people let think, and the idea that this is being juxtaposed to a BRZ/FRS/86 relationship seems like nothing more than finding something to hate about the car. Toyota did not just sign a check, and thinking that way is a complete disregard to the engineering effort required to design, produce, and bring to market a car. Car development takes years, and because Toyota did not have the existing internal infrastructure to design from scratch a performance car (they don't keep a term on retainer for high performance competition), the cheapest and least time consuming route is to partner with a team that already has the base scheme designed. This has been a common thing for decades and is much more notable in F1 and the racing world. I could go on... and I don't want to take away from a good video. I just think as a fellow content creator in the automotive world, we have to understand to the core the things we relay as we are responsible for the learning around the subject. Yes I am still a small creator myself, but it would be an oversight to think we have no influence. Great video though! Just my two cents.

It’s m’y daily car and it’s SO fun, so well made, you can drive it as a Gt, push it to thé limit, it’s always enjoyable! Ok, the horn is ridiculous but it remains a precious collaboration and what a

IDK about the snow tires you had, but Blizzaks or Michelin X-Ice work great. The problem with the Supra is the clearance- it's too low to the ground to bother with buying snow tires/wheels. The cars would drive great with those snow tires, up until 4.5" of packed snow is below it.

With all seriousness, with a Nokia’s tires can this be driven in Canadian winters or is this a April to Oct car exclusively?

Isn't every rear wheel drive car terrible to drive in the snow?
