Where these four tracks from side 4 of Richie's 1972 live album were actually recorded is not exactly clear: The liner notes are somewhat confusing, and - as if that wouldn't be enough - the US cover info differs from the European cover notes to boot. So the sources might be Santa Monica (March 14, 1971), Westbury (March 25, 1972) and / or even from a performance at the Chico State College on March 17, 1971. Anyroad - please enjoy!

The tracks:
High Flyin' Bird 0:00
San Francisco Bay Blues 4:58
Where Have All The Flowers Gone 7:39
Rocky Raccoon 15:21

Absolutely the art and soul of Havens on display. Put High Flying Bird alongside “Lucky Old Sun” as a supreme lamentation of those who are trapped by the circumstances of life and rooted like a tree.

Then the love lament

San Francisco Blues

about love lost and only valued in retrospect and the memory and hope for a walk along San Francisco Bay.😢
