The Tactical Blueprint of US Overseas Military Bases

In the summer of 2021, the United States maintained approximately 750 military bases abroad, spanning all continents except Antarctica, with additional bases at sea. While fewer than during the Cold War, more nations have agreed to host them on their own soil.

The presence of these bases in strategic areas is critical to American foreign policy, though they have been a source of controversy both in the United States and abroad.

‌But why? Why exactly are these bases so important?

In this episode, we will take a look at some of the more notable of these bases, their origins and importance, and the controversy that surrounds them.

There are now a total of 9 US bases in the Philippines and work will be underway next year for another Airbase on one of the Philippine islands.

The exact numbers of U.S. bases worldwide are classified, however during the height of the coldwar the U.S. has over 1, 500 bases scattered all over the world. The U.S. navy controlled the world's ocean, the U.S. airforce by far the largest in the world, & the U.S. army is one of the most powerful land forces ever assemble in history.

One of the most powerful... literally the greatest military power in history.

The US government didn't need to us "detained foreign enemy combatants" to skirt around the Geneva Conventions. Ununiformed irregular combatants, insurgents, partizans, etc, aren't protected or afforded POW status.

This is a great video but production recommendation I'd have is to use a high pass filter to reduce the bottom 50hz or so. Your voice is deep like mine, which causes odd effects on playback.

what do you mean one of the most powerful militaries in the world? it is the most powerful military lol. And its part of the most powerful military alliance on the planet. And it has very strong allies in asia as well. I dont understand the need to downplay the military might of the US because theres really no comparison. the US also has ridiculously good geography compared to their military rivals like China that have some of the worst geography possible. China is completely boxed in by its enemies.
