I watched a guy put on a pair of Oakley gloves with the Kevlar knuckles & this brainiac thought he could punch down a 2inch thick oak door…. His hand & wrist didn’t agree.. 😂

The line between Tacti-cool & Tacti-dumb is very thin..

A pair of Mechanix with the IMPACT knuckles protection are what I use on the outdoor range. Honestly saved my hand from getting wrecked by the kill house door frame once.

I remember hearing a story from mikeburnfire where Zach (armory working enlisted) was issued a machine gun (m134) and basically got permission to cut off the tip of the glove on his trigger finger to prevent it from going off. But someone saw this and eventually it got out of control because now everyone on the base started cutting off all the fingers on their gloves just because "Oh I saw specialist Zach do it so it must be cool"

I still have my basic training issued leather gloves from 2003. Very worn with holes but man, those are the best.

I would recommend a company called “Mossy Oak” they have a pair of really good tactical gloves for around $20 with hard knuckles and they breathe very well
