One of my favorite songs of the 80s, back when musicians actually played instruments!

summer 1982 ... my friend owned a limousine service and asked me if I wanted to drive haircut 100 from their hotel to where they played on the pier west side of Manhattan... after the show girls were jumping on the limo to get to nick and the rest of the band... they were great .. can’t believe 40 years ago... I also got to watch the show from the side of the stage...

LOVED this band in high school. This particular song was especially popular at the local aerobics studio--the beat is perfect for doing high kicks during a routine. And yes, the 20s (that's 1920s) retro hairstyles look great.

😂 I know exactly what you're saying.
This band was a terrible dilemma for me being a teen in 80s UK.
I was a rude boy/ex Punk and they were my kid sister's favourite band.
I remember having to buy their album Pelican West for her birthday and asking the shop assistant for an opaque bag to take it away in 😱
I used to think of them as posh college boy wa*kers but secretly loved their music. Looking back, I probably wasn't alone.
I recently repurchased Pelican West on yellow vinyl and completely fell in love (again) with the track Lemon Fire brigade.
Incredible musicians.
