I stress to all my friends that Pelican West is one of the greatest albums ever produced.

I saw them last month in Los Angeles. They were amazing! Their set was too short. I wanted more!

I live in the states. Had never heard of these guys until I bought a George Michael VHS and he mentioned Haircut 100. That name always stuck with me. Then I saw bands reunited and got introduced to them. Love plus one at first listen. Great band. I just wish this performance was more inspired. Hope yall come to the states!

Such a great band. I hope that live, they still have live horns and percussion. When I saw them in 1982 it was just amazing.

One of my favorite bands of the 80’s….still listen to the album….looking forward to the new album. Wish the horn player was still on board.

Right back in my 1968 SAAB 96 in Sacramento in High School in 1984! Warm summer nights listening to these cats and much more! For whatever reason Sac had Brit Bands all the time at Galatica 2000, Club Can't Tell and a few other magical spots. Ahhh the world has changed, but man we had it good.

I love seeing them and can't wait to see them live. But this is Nick Heyward singing along with the original album track.

I love these guys. ! played the grooves off the LP when it came out. Love+1 was our song for me and my girlfriend right through the summer before she left. The album still makes me smile though. Takes me back to my 20's . The 1980's had the best tunes and MTV and MuchMusic played music videos all the time and I had a stereo TV plugged into my monster stereo stack. Good times.

I can't wrap my brain around Nick Heywood as a middle-aged man. I will always mentally envision him as a grown boy or very young man singing his 1983 video, "Whistle Down The Wind". That song made an emotional mental impression in my mind that remains to this very day. When the song came out, it gave me bittersweet memories of my youthful college years that ended just one year before. Now I felt rudderless, not being back on college campus and wondering what to do with my life and where it was going. It took another year for me to accomplish that.
