Gas is down due to two factors:

1. The government using the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to boost supply (which is going to stop in the next month or so)

2. Artificially low demand in China due to their 'Zero COV!D' policy (which will eventually shift)

It's going to be an interesting winter as gas normalizes and energy costs rise.

We have an an entire generation of financial market participants that have been conditioned to believe that interest rates will always stay relatively low even in the presence of high inflation. Folks who were around prior to 2000 may have different expectations.
