If you feel alone as a graduate student, researcher, or professor, you have to work on being you as a person. You should work on building social capital and work towards investing in yourself.

I just want to say that you are important, and that the loneliness feeling that you have in graduate school is very real, and many people including myself have experienced it.

You need to take time for yourself and work towards building relationships, whatever that looks like.

David Maslach is a research professor of entrepreneurship, innovation, and business strategy, I discuss topics, such as behavioral science, strategy, innovation, and entrepreneurship, and apply these to my new peer proofreading and editing platform. Topics include the sharing economy, altruism, investing in technology, starting a business, and bounded rationality. My favorite videos pertain to incentives, goal setting, and learning from failure to drive behaviors such as weight loss, stopping telemarketers, creating novel technologies, and creating new movements.

A new platform where you can earn credits by editing other people's documents. Use these credits to have your own work edited. If you do a good enough job, you can convert these credits to money.

The goal of the platform is to get people to 'pay it forward' and help other people out by creating incentives for people to give back.

I find your videos very inspiring. I'm at a point in my life where I miss going to school. I have a master's degree. Now I'm using more of it at my job. However, there is a part of me where I want to go for a doctorate or maybe even another masters degree but the problem is what degree should I choose to get? What degree would help me the most in the federal government as a public administrator. Many of these degree programs that I look at does not seem as relevant to my job. Then as much as it is fun to learn especially for self-enrichment, there comes the academic cost. My master's program alone ran me $30, 000 in tuition which I don't regret. But then that is money that I was not able to save and invest. So I'm caught between a rock and a hard place. I'm in a position where if I were to move up in my organization, it's all focused on experience at this point, not so much the degree. But the Master of Public Administration degree that I have certainly helps with my critical thinking, my writing skills, and being able to make decisions as a public administrator. I wish there was a need for further education for me. I enjoy learning, I really do.
